Big News: Lower Tuition Fees for 2026!NMIT are pleased to be able to announce a tuition fee decrease for three of our degree programmes, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Counselling. Students starting in 2026 will pay NZ$22,592 per year of study, down from NZ$26,000 in 2025!We look forward to welcoming more international students onto these programmes and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to lead professional careers in each of these fields. 2026 Tuition Fee Decrease for Foundation Pathway Programmes!Students who do not meet the academic entry criteria for their desired degree programme can join our level 3 and/or level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Study and Employment Pathways.  The tuition fee for these single semester foundation programmes beginning in February and July 2026 is NZ$11,296, down from NZ$13,000 is 2025! Completion of the single semester level 4 certificate meets the academic requirements for programmes degree programmes such as the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Counselling and Bachelor of Social Work. Apply Early for February 2026 Bachelor of Nursing!Due to high demand for NMIT’s Bachelor of Nursing programme, we strongly recommend submitting applications early to secure a spot! The annual tuition fee for NMIT’s Bachelor of Nursing, February 2026 intake, is NZ$29,768. Please note that when submitting nursing applications, as well as the standard application documents, nursing requires some additional documents which can be found HERE. Visa Application Deadline: October 2025 MAM & PGDipAM IntakeFor students planning to join our Master of Applied Management (MAM) or Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management (PGDipAM) this October, we recommend submitting their student visa applications before the 18th of August 2025, ahead of Immigration New Zealand’s Online System upgrade. Applying before the 18th of August increases student’s chances of having their visa processed on time so they can start their studies in October.  Thank you for your continued support. 2026 Applications Open!NMIT international tuition fees for 2026 have been confirmed, which means offers can now be issued.  We have reduced the fees for our business qualifications, and the Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Counselling.  For students that need a Foundation semester to meet entry, we have also reduced the fees for our foundation programme.  Remember places are limited in our Bachelor of Nursing, so ensure applications and fee payment is early to secure a place (application requirements for the Bachelor of Nursing).  Please find the NMIT international application form here.Relaxed Entry Requirements for the Business Analytics MajorWithin NMIT’s Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management (level 8) and Master of Applied Management (level 9) programmes students can opt to major in Business Analytics. Previously, students wanting to study this major needed to have a relevant academic background, BUT a recent change means this major is now open to ALL bachelor’s degree graduates. Our upcoming intakes for these programmes are on the 14th of July and 13th of October.NEW DEGREE: Master of Applied ScienceStudents with a science background who successfully complete our Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Aquaculture programme, have the option to continue their education in this space by completing a further academic year (120 credits) of study to complete their Master of Applied Science degree.
