The programme focuses on applying knowledge to real-work challenges, enhancing skills in key management areas, and preparing students for leadership roles in diverse business environments. With a flexible structure, students can deepen their expertise through coursework, a combination of course work and a project, or a substantial research component. The Master of Applied Management offers two options: 180-credit / 18-month programme for those with a business-related bachelor’s degree with a minimum of the equivalent to a B average and evidence of management experience at degree level. 240-credit / 24-month programme for those who do not meet the above criteria but have a bachelor’s degree in a non-business discipline. With four intakes offered per year in February, April, July and October, the next available intake for international applicants is 27th April 2026. Additionally, both facilities offer opportunity for international students looking for part-time employment as they study in New Zealand.Student Success SpotlightMolly Taylor, one of Ara’s talented Bachelor of Design (Fashion Technology and Design) students, has been awarded the 2025 Lauren Hemens Award for Commercial Potential in her final year of study.The award honours Lauren Hemens, an Ara graduate who tragically passed away in 2023.
